Below you will find a list of educational links that I encourage you to explore with your child. Most of the students are familiar with or will become familiar with these sites this year in 2nd grade. Have fun!!!
1. First in Math
Your child will become very familiar with this program this year in 2nd grade. At the beginning of the year, your child will be given a card with his/her own user name and password; as well as, a paper explaining the program. I encourage students to use this program at home as it offers great practice for many of the concepts taught in 2nd grade. They also have an oppritunity to contribute stickers to our class team!
2. Enchanted Learning
Your child will be able to use this site to research many different topics. It can be used for school projects or just for fun.
3. Fun Brain
This free site will provide a great deal of educational entertainment for your child. It is a great site for kids from grades K-8. There are many interactive games; as well as, a few web books that can be read from the computer.
4. PBS Kids
This is another great site that we use in class. Your child will enjoy playing these educational games outside of school as well!
5. Storyline Online
This is a great site where students can listen to books read aloud by others!
6. ABC Ya!
A fun game site that will provide lots of entertainment when it is time to relax! :)
